The Canon Slade Trust

The Canon Slade Trust is a charitable trust which owns the land occupied by Canon Slade School. The Trust holds the buildings, playing fields, and the adjoining woodland for the use, occupation and benefit of our school.

The Trust is responsible for raising funds to support our school, with the aim of improving facilities and resources available to pupils.  One of the ways in which The Canon Slade Trust raises funds for school us by letting school facilities to outside organisations. This provides us with a wonderful opportunity to engage with our local community. A variety of different groups enjoy our school facilities, including sports teams, swimming classes and religious congregations. For more information on lettings please see the link below.

The Trust has funded many  large projects over the years, including building the chapel, installing the Astroturf pitch and refurbishing the swimming pool. This is in addition to providing ongoing funding for water stations for pupils across school, gifting a book to each of new Year 7 pupils this year, and equipping the school with defibrillator cabinets. Each year the Trust contributes to the prizes for the ex-Year 13 pupils when they are welcomed back into school for our Presentation Evening in December following their A levels in the previous July.  The Trust supports school across a large number of areas and has a real impact in improving the quality of our pupil's educational experience. The generosity of parents, carers, alumni and other benefactors us crucial to the work of the Canon Slade Trust, and we are extremely grateful to everybody who donates to the Trust either through a regular donation or as a "one off" payment in response to specific fundraising appeals.

The Canon Slade Trust is registered with and regulated by the Charity Commission for England and Wales.
